That’s could be a challenge for most touch technologies due to high humidity and one-way mirror. I would suggest to look for possible solutions with Infrared Grid, Optical or Acoustic touchscreens. In any case it will be pretty expensive solution.
hi,
i have a 10.1″ lcd and i will control it with a beagle board so i have to use your card. But the point i also have to use LCD data cable. LCD side of this cable has standart connector but i need to solder your card side to the header pins. So, you have anything that helps me with this? i mean how can i know which wire is connected to which pin of your PCB? thanks in advance for your response
I have one. I used it to build a Raspberry Pi Tablet. I disabled the ambient light sensor. The touch screen driver is problematic for double clicking, but overall it is really cool you can buy this stuff off the shelf and put together your own tablet device.
Will you continue to provide resistive touch screens in the future, or are you going entirely to capacitive? I have an application where resistive is more practical than capacitive.
I guess, you are trying to use board with EDID for 7″ panel with 10″ panel that has different resolution. Drop me email to support@, I will send email with correct EDID file and update instructions.
Hello, need support with the FullHD+ LCD. It has been flickering since the first day, and a part of circuit board gets really hot. Please provide a solution.
The most common of flickering is due to not enough current provided by power supply.
As to high temperature, this is normal to have around 60-70C on backlight power IC.
how do i connect it to pandaboard ?
Look at Support/How-To section on our website.
If I pre-order now for the 15th September shipment, will I be charged immediately, or when the product ships?
You will be charged immediately.
What LCD panels with touchscreen can I use with this, since the bundle package is not available? Do I have reprogram it for every different panel?
Bundle will be back to stock next week. You don’t have to re-program anything if you our bundle – they are plug-and-play with pre-built binaries.
Does it work with the iPad 3 screen?
I never saw datasheet for this LCD to check for sure, but with high probability no.
Hi! This is great kit, but I want to know dimensions of this screen module and it’s power consumption. Thank you.
LCD size and power consumption are available in its datasheet, see Support/Sources section.
I’ve just got one small question. Does it work with the Open Elec distro for Raspberry Pi?
Our current version of PCB can work with any distro. It simply behave the same way as normal HDMI LCD.

Is there a case where it is possible to install the raspberry together with the 10″ or 7″ panel?
Unfortunately, we don’t supply enclosures. Maybe somehow later.

We have pinout of our board, look at Support/Sources section.
Stock will be updated tomorrow (Tuesday).
We can’t supply only cable without LCD, as they are ordered from LCD factory in pair.

It will work with normal PC/notebook – just connect 5V power to our board and connect it to HDMI output of notebook.
When will you get some more in, please?

When it will be in stock (10″ LCD LVDS bundle)? NY holidays are finished a time ago. Any news?
You missed something, we sold >300 sets since NY before got out of stock again. Look here: http://www.chalk-elec.com/?p=1669
New release of board (to be released in February) will work with any HDMI source.

Resistive will be supplied only to customers who signed agreement with us for long-term supply.

How can the bevel be mounted into a flat surface e.g. a aluminum plate? Can i drill holes in it?
Black frame is plastic, so theoretically it can be drilled. In tablets it is mounted with glue double-side tape, or normal glue.
LCD datasheet is available in Support/Sources section.

10 days in average based on previous experience.
its 52×30 mm.
Drop email to sales@chalk-elec.com with request.
Just to provide out 5V power for RasPi or anything else.
It just provides power out to another board (like RasPi), so that you use single power supply to power both boards (our and base board).

When will the “10” LCD LVDS bundle (RaspberryPi)” be available again?
This product is out of stock, but you can use any of our LCDs with RaspberryPi.
